Stocks: picking businesses, not tickers
ICX Global frames stock trading around companies and sectors rather than symbols: live share prices, company charts, market activity, most-traded lists and new listings across leading sectors — tech, consumer, automotive and beyond — on major international exchanges.
A stock routine that works
- Screen — most-traded plus gainers/losers for current activity.
- Compare — two or three company charts against their sector and the relevant index.
- Time — check the economic calendar for earnings or macro that could override the chart.
- Size and place — calculator, margin preview, confirm.
What to verify per stock
- Share availability and trading hours for that listing.
- Order execution terms and trading costs.
- Corporate-action handling (dividends, splits).
- Whether conditions differ for your region.
Forex: the full currency spectrum
Currency coverage runs from heavily traded majors through minors to regional pairs, explicitly including EUR, USD, GBP, JPY, AUD and CAD markets. Live pricing, pair charts and the forex heatmap carry the workflow, with flexible order controls and position tracking through the trading week.
Reading the heatmap
- Find the strongest and weakest currencies first — trade strong-vs-weak pairs.
- Confirm with the pair chart: heatmap shows now, charts show structure.
- Check the calendar: rates decisions and CPI routinely reprice entire currencies.
Session awareness
- Asian hours: JPY, AUD crosses most alive.
- London: EUR, GBP peak liquidity.
- New York overlap: fastest-drifting trends — and sharpest reversals into data.
The combined watchlist method
Run one watchlist, not two. Ours holds eight slots:
| Slot | Holds | Example |
|---|---|---|
| 1–3 | Core stock ideas | Two tech names + one industrial |
| 4–5 | Currency pairs | EUR/USD trend + one AUD cross |
| 6 | Benchmark index | S&P 500 or DAX 40 |
| 7 | Hedge / regime proxy | Gold or Bitcoin |
| 8 | Wildcard mover | Week's strongest new listing |
Review it in one pass each session: calendar first, then heatmap, then each slot's chart. Promote, demote or cut — a watchlist is a decision machine, not a collection.
Stocks + forex + hedge: a worked example
Suppose tech earnings are beating while the dollar softens. The combined book might hold two tech shares, a long EUR/USD position riding dollar weakness, and the S&P 500 as benchmark — with gold on standby if sentiment cracks. All four visible on one ICX Global dashboard; if earnings disappoint, the hedge is one ticket away, not one broker away.
Costs and practical notes
Confirm per-market costs, spreads, swaps, corporate-action treatment and funding terms inside your account — they vary by instrument and region. Keep stock and forex sizing consistent: risk a fixed fraction per idea regardless of asset class. More: fees guide.
